Daniele obtained his MSc in Chemistry in 2025 from Università degli Studi di Milano under the supervision of Prof. Luca Pignataro. His Master’s thesis, entitled “Synthesis and Applications of Bifunctional Organic Dyes for Metallaphotoredox Catalysis”, focused on the development of bifunctional photocatalysts for visible-light-driven Ni-catalyzed C-O cross-coupling reactions.
Following his graduation, he joined the group of Prof. Carlo S. Casari at Politecnico di Milano as a Research Fellow, where he worked until January 2026 on the synthesis and characterization of polyynes, with particular attention to their structural and electronic properties.
He is currently a PhD student at Politecnico di Milano within the FIS Starting Grant project, with a focus on sustainable chemistry in catalysis and material science.
Out of the lab, he enjoys board games and playing volleyball, and he is actively involved in the organization of amateur art exhibitions dedicated to emerging artists.
