Emanuele Pinosa obtained the MSc in Chemistry at University of Bologna in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Marco Bandini. He then pursued doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Pier Giorgio Cozzi at the same university, working on the development of novel metallaphotoredox protocols. During his PhD, he was visiting PhD student in the group of Prof. Varinder K. Aggarwal at the University of Bristol, UK working on novel metal-mediated borylation reactions.

He obtained his PhD in 2025 with a thesis titled “Novel catalytic transformations mediated by dual photoredox and earth abundant transition metals”. The same year, he spent six months as Translational Chemistry & Technology Innovation Intern at Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A., Parma, under the supervision of Dr. Paolo Ronchi, focusing on photo- and electrocatalytic protocols API synthesis.

In his free time, he enjoys playing the piano and going to the gym.
